You can also output the encoder’s phase-C pulse for reverse movement. To do so, set Pn081
to n.

Observe the following precaution if you set Pn081 to n.
0 (Output phase-C pulses only in
the forward direction).
When a linear incremental encoder from Magnescale Co., Ltd. is used, the count direction of
the encoder determines how the phase-C pulse (CN1-21 and CN1-22) is output.

If you set Pn081 to n.

tions), the width of the phase-C pulse output may be narrower than the width of the phase-A
pulse.

There is a difference of 1/8th of the scale pitch in the phase-C detection position for the
encoder’s phase-C pulse output position, origin return command, or phase-C latch between
when Pn081 = n.
X is set to 0 (Output phase-C pulses only in the forward direction) and
when it is set to 1 (Output phase-C pulses in both the forward and reverse directions).

No origin signal (Ref) is output by the incremental linear
encoder. However, a phase-C pulse will be output from the
SERVOPACK when the motor moves in the forward
direction, because this is the same position from which a
phase-C pulse was output when the motor moved in the
reverse direction.
The second pulse is half as
wide as the phase-A pulse.
