6.9 Spindle Motor Wiring
The spindle motor junction box must be connected up for 400V operation. Ensure shorting strips are
connected as shown below. Motor power wires are connected to the three, lower terminals.

6.10 Spindle Cartridge Replacement
Please refer to assembly drawing 27500-1 found at the back of this manual.
DANGER!
During the removal and replacement procedure it is often necessary to jog the axes to gain access to
various parts of the machine. To minimise the risk of serious injury through crushing, you must power
down or E-stop the machine each time you access the inside of the machine.
Ensure unauthorised personnel are kept away from the machine when you are working
inside.
1. Remove the left and right side sheet metal covers and the unclamp button panel.
2. Jog the Z-axis downward toward the table so you have access to the unclamp panel and the 6
bolts that hold the spindle cartridge in place.
3. Remove the clamp/unclamp switch bracket assembly (A), air line (B), oil line (C) and the
actuator plate (D). Reference figure 6.10
