Printer Driver
A printer driver is a file that enables the application program to
communicate with the printer. On the Accel-a-Writer 812, usually
the printer driver is installed within an application program. On
Macintosh setups, the driver is the LaserWriter icon selected in the
Chooser and is installed with the system.
Printer Margins
The imageable area of the printer—not the margin setting within an
application.
Printer Port

Protocol
A mechanism that controls how data is sent between devices.
Queue
The list of print jobs waiting to be printed.
RAM
Random Access Memory. RAM is volatile memory available to
programs and documents. Any information stored in RAM is lost
when the computer's power is turned off.
Resident Typefaces
Typefaces permanently stored in the printer’s memory.
Resolution
A measurement in “dots-per-inch” either on a printed page or on a
monitor screen. Your Accel-a-Writer 812 features 600 x 600 dpi and
1200 x 1200 dpi resolutions.
ROM
Read Only Memory. ROM is permanent memory. Information in the
computer's ROM is retained even when the power is turned off.
