PROCEDURE

Use a soft cloth to clean the bearing shell.

Examine the bearing shell for damage, for example for breakouts or for cracks.

CAUTION

Damage Hazard: Do not use a scraper in the running area of the bearing shell. Damage to
the bearing shell will occur.

Use Scotchbrite to remove small scratches and running marks.

If the running marks are not symmetrical (axial or radial) speak to, or send a message to
WinGD.

If necessary, replace the bearing shell.

Do an inspection of the surface of the bearing pin. If necessary, repair the surfaces that
have scratches.
