Chapter 1 Overview

RMC Modules Allow for Greater Design Flex-

ibility

•

Allows PID loops to be added in increments of one.

• Saves money because you do not pay for any more

than you need and don’t settle for any less func-

tionality than you need

Synergistic Module Control (SMC)

• Allows outputs selected for control (heat/cool),

alarms or events to be located in any physical mod-

ule, regardless of which module is connected to the

input sensor

Split-Rail Control (SRC)

• Allows modules to be mounted together or mount-

ed remotely from one another (maximum distance

200 feet or 61 meters)

• Shares control operation via Synergistic Module

Control (SMC) capability

• Allows individual modules to be mounted closer

to the physical input and output devices to which

they are wired

• Improves system reliability and lowers wiring

costs

Factory Mutual (FM) Approved Safety Limit

• Increases user and equipment safety for over/under

temperature conditions
