8. Maintenance
General
This chapter describes the maintenance functions when handled from the local display.
The Maintenance menu includes a number functions used for diagnostics,
maintenance and program upgrade purposes. The Maintenance menu is found under
the Main menu.
From the Weight display, showing the main menu is done by pressing ‘+’ and ‘
↑
’ keys
simultaneously for 1 second.
The ViewPan ‘+’ and ‘
−
’ keys are used to scroll between the available menu items and
the ‘
↵
’ key is used to enter the selected sub menu or start editing a value. Pressing the
‘
↑
’ key will make the instrument step backwards in the menu system or cancel an
ongoing editing operation.
Diagnostics
The diagnostics functions cover Scales, Communication, Fieldbus, EtherNet/IP, Digital
Inputs, Digital Outputs and Analog Outputs. It is possible to read data and status for the
different functions and also in some cases (Digital and Analog outputs) change the
output data. If the normal operation has been interrupted (a value or output changed) in
a diagnostics menu then the operator will be asked if the diagnostics mode shall be
reset when the menu is left. Outputs are always set to normal mode after instrument
restart and power up.
Scales
Shows detailed information about all configured Scales.
For each scale is the live gross weight, the live input signal
and the current zero correction value displayed. All scales
are shown consecutively scale 1 – scale 2 etc.
Note that the live gross weight is shown with one decimal
more than selected in the set-up of the scale. At least one
decimal is always shown. The input signal is always shown
with 5 decimals and the zero correction value is shown as
percent of scale capacity with 2 decimals.
The zero correction is set when the scale is zeroed using
the front panel zeroing key sequence or with zeroing
command on communication. The zero tracking and the
Auto Zero functions also work on the zero correction value.
The zero correction value is reset (set to 0) when starting a
new calibration, when selecting default set-up or when
upgrading (changing) the program.
Unused scales are not shown. Scales with an error will display an error message
instead of the gross weight, input signal and zero correction value.
