5.3 Sources of interference
The presence detector detects the movement of heat sources. If a foreign heat source is in close proximity, this can cause false triggering. Here a distinction must be
made between foreign heat sources and limited visibility as a source of interference.
- Limited view of the device
The detection range of the device may be obstructed by various objects, e.g.:
- Lamp strip that have been installed lower than the device.
- Large plants
- Partitions
- Glass panes

Rapid changes in temperature surrounding the device can also trigger unwanted switching, E.g.:
- Additional fan
- Switching on/off of lamps in the direct vicinity (< 1.5 m) of the device, in particular incandescent lamps and halogen lamps
- Moving machines, printers, etc.
