0047 Video/Audio Fade
255 frames (8.5 seconds NTSC or 10.2 frames PAL). An Audio Fade Time of 0 or
1 performs an immediate Audio Switch instead of an Audio Fade.
Examples
Assume Channel 0 is the primary decoder (audio/video output monitored from
this channel). Channel 1 will be the secondary decoder. Both decoders must be
genlocked to the same source.
Fade Primary to Secondary with a Fade time of 60 frames
1. Issue a Fade Up to Channel 1 using inline execution mode GPI2 Active
(mode 8). The fade up will start when Channel 0 completes the fade down
and sets GPI2.
Fade up issued to Channel 1 (secondary decoder)
Video Fade Enable
= 1b
Video fade enabled.
Video Source
= 0b
This channel’s video output is not
used. Leave set to MPEG video
decoder output.
Fade Down/Up
