Time Zone - Specifying Your Time Zone
If you change your Time Zone settings, note that the time stamp on the existing logs
will not reflect the new time zone. They will reflect the time zone that you set when
the logs were created.
Note: GateLock uses a Network Time Protocol (NTP) public time server to record the date
and time in its various logs. If a virus or a suspected hacker attack is detected during a
time when GateLock cannot contact the NTP server, the date and time in the antivirus
or anti-hacker logs may not be displayed correctly.
Advanced
Clicking the Advanced hyperlink on the sidebar loads 2 hyperlinks that allow you
configure GateLock’s advanced options: IP Port Forwarding and Network Traffic
Control.
IP Port Forwarding
If you are connecting GateLock to your home network and you have servers (e.g.,
Web, FTP, email) that you want to publish outside your network, you need to
configure GateLock for this purpose. This configuration task is called IP port
forwarding.
IP port forwarding allows you to redirect service requests from outside sources to
your internal servers. With GateLock, you have total control over incoming network
traffic: you can allow, reject, or ignore connection requests to your servers.
To configure IP port forwarding for GateLock:
1. Select Advanced > IP Port Forwarding from the sidebar. The IP Port Forwarding
screen loads.
