Antivirus

If GateLock’s Antivirus protection is enabled, the Antivirus LED will be green. By
default, the Antivirus function is enabled and is set to Clean an infected file upon
detection, or to Delete if the file cannot be cleaned. See

Antivirus Options

on page

3-14 to learn how to change this setting.

When GateLock detects a virus, the Antivirus LED turns red. You can click the
Antivirus Logs hyperlink on the sidebar to view details about the detected virus. The
Antivirus LED will turn green again after you view the Antivirus Logs.

If GateLock’s Antivirus LED is off, it means GateLock’s Antivirus protection is
disabled.

Anti-Hacker

If GateLock’s Anti-Hacker protection level is set to High or Medium, the
Anti-Hacker LED will be green. By default, the Anti-Hacker protection level is set
to High, which means GateLock will block unsolicited inbound traffic according to
GateLock’s internal pre-defined rules and make your PC or network invisible from
outside. See

Anti-Hacker Options on page 3-18

to learn how to change this setting.

When GateLock detects a suspected hacker attack, the Anti-Hacker LED turns red.
You can click the Anti-Hacker Logs hyperlink on the sidebar to view details about
the suspected hacker attack. The Anti-Hacker LED will turn green again after you
view the Anti-Hacker Logs.

If GateLock’s Anti-Hacker LED is off, it means GateLock’s Anti-Hacker security
level is set to Low.

To see all of GateLock’s default settings, as well as the procedure to alter the values to

your own specifications, please refer to Chapter 3.

PC/HUB

If the PC/HUB LED is green or orange (depending whether your network connection
speed is 100Mbps or 10Mbps, respectively), this indicates that a network cable is
plugged into the PC/HUB port. If it is off, it indicates that the network cable is
unplugged from the PC/HUB port.

If the PC/HUB LED is blinking, this means there is traffic being sent between your
PC and GateLock on the PC/HUB line.
