Hunt Group
Example
A customer service group has five lines in a hunt group, and each line appears on a phone.
If agents in the group forward their phones to the VP 300, their extensions are taken out of
the hunt group, even if the forwarding is only on ring-no-answer.
Recommendation
We recommend assigning two extensions to each hunt group agent — one extension in the
hunt group (not forwarded), and the other, a personal line (forwarded to the VP 300 for call
coverage). This requires an additional port in the PBX for each agent. If the agents do not
have multiline phones, this also requires additional phones.
