SHELF A SLOTS
Shelf A contains 12 card slots as well as the Voice Control Unit in slot A13, the Central Processing Unit in
slot A14, and the Power Supply Unit in slot A15. The card slots in Shelf A of the VP 300 cabinet may
contain the following, dependent on the software release installed.

The DAC card, M1 integration card and the ATTIC integration cards are not allowed in slot A12.
Figure 1-5 is a diagram of the slots in Shelf A.
With Release 5.3, the VP 300 may be configured with four-port line cards to a maximum of 48 ports.
With Release 6.1 and later, the VP 300 may be configured with four-port and eight-port line cards in any
combination to a maximum of 64 ports.
