3.12 Reaction Cuvette Washing Pump (CWP)
3.12.1. Parts and Configuration
- Refer to “ASSY-14 CWP” for the unit assembly drawing.
- Refer to “WIRING-15 CWP” for the unit wiring diagram.
3.12.2. Function and Action
1. Function
This pump is used for aspiration of alkaline solution, acidic solution and ion
exchange water for washing reaction cuvettes from washing solution and water
reservoirs and also for dispensation to reaction cuvettes after heating washing
solution to 37 Celsius degrees by pre-heater (WSH).
The types of washing solution dispended and the amount are as follows.
#1 De-ionized water : 700 micro-liter
#2 Alkaline washing solution : 700 micro-liter
#3 Acidic washing solution : 700 micro-liter
#4 - #7 De-ionized water : 700 micro-liter
2. Action (Refer to “ASSY-14” for assembly drawing.)
When AC motor (2) rotates, the rotation movement is transferred to plane
gear (6) through bevel gear (10).
The motion of rack (13) is transformed into linear motion by the rotation of
plane gear (6).
