Package Detection
is used for packages the photoeye might not see
completely. As an example a sealed package that might have a
leading and trailing flap. Put the measurements of the package flap
in the
Pad leading edge

Detection
field. See Appendix E for additional information on
Pad
Leading Edge
and
Pad Trailing Edge
.
Note. If a product is not completely setup the product icon next to
the product name has a red X and that product cannot be run until
setup is complete.

setup determines the
Distance
(how far the
reject device is from the X-ray),
Duration
(how long the signal to the
reject device should be on), and at what point on the package the rejecter
should fire (either the front or center of the package).The
Reject
Package Signal Output
is setup in the same manner as the reject. It can
be used to activate an external reject indicator. At this time, it is used to
tell a checkweigher not to weigh a package and not to reject it.
Distance
(distance to the checkweigher) and
Duration
(how long the signal to the
checkweigher should be on).
