Disposal of lithium batteries and soldered printed circuit boards must be
in accordance with your local Hazardous Waste Policy.
As an alternative product supplied by
Thermo Fisher Scientific
may be
returned freight pre-paid, for disposal. Contact the Repair Department
for a Return Material Authorization Number before shipping any
product for disposal.
The vast majority of parts on the
EZx
should only be replaced or
repaired by a
qualified Thermo Fisher Scientific Engineer
. This section
outlines the procedures for replacing mechanical parts that can be done
in the factory. .
The
EZx
Conveyor is designed so a single person can replace the belt in
a matter of minutes and requires only a Phillips screwdriver.
Use the following steps to remove the old belt:
1. Isolate the mains to avoid someone inadvertently operating the
conveyor while the belt is being changed.
2. Begin at the tail roller on the idler end of the machine ( Figure 5–1 )
3. Lift the hood being careful not to tear the shielding curtains.
