Package Photo Eye
– Select the polarity and the distance
(distance = photo eye to detector). The EZx ships with this
photo eye in place and is setup at the factory. It should only
be changed if the PE is replaced at some time.
•
Bin Full Photo Eye
– Select the polarity that determines the
active state for input.
•
Reject Verify Photo Eye
– Select the polarity that determines
the active state for the input. If your selection is a
Reject
Verify
photo eye, you must designate if it is
Accept Stream
(monitors the accepted packages) or the
Reject Stream
(monitors the rejected packages).
•
Reject Verify and Bin Full
– the photo eye does two jobs,
verifies the reject and checks to see if the reject bin is full.

Select Other Devices
– Other devices are all input that are not
photo eyes. If
Other Devices
is chosen a screen with a list of
devices displays ( Figure 3–24 ). Setup each device according to
manufacturers recommendations or other specifications.
The box by the
photo eye indicates
the current state of
the photo eye. If the
box is checked, the
photo eye is
blocked.
