Chapter 2  

Installation 

This chapter provides information about installing and setting up the 

EZx

 system. It discusses installation considerations and provides 

procedures for unpacking, inspection, positioning the machine in the 
production line, and adjusting the conveyors. 

The customer is responsible for initial inspection of equipment and for 
site preparation. It is essential the equipment be placed on the production 
line in accordance with the guidelines set out in this chapter. 

The customer must ensure qualified personnel are available to make the 
interconnections with other production equipment and to perform work 
at the installation site. A representative of 

Thermo Fisher Scientific

 will 

be available to supervise installation, verify operation, and train 
personnel assigned to operate and maintain the equipment. 

Note. 

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure there is a 

person suitably trained in radiation on site while the machine is in 
operation.
