Note. At the bottom of the screen is displayed the Media Access
Control (MAC) address of the Ethernet port in the EZx. The
Thermo Fisher Scientific service technician who installed the
network access used this to make sure the Ethernet cable is
connected to the proper port.

Hint: Thermo Fisher Scientific recommends using static network
settings so the user will know what IP address the machine has.
Having a static IP address makes remote access easier.

The EZx system has an FTP server to allow remote access to the
statistics files, saved images, saved setups, and log files. The FTP server
requires a username and password to access it. Any user who is a
system administrator or supervisor can use their username and password
to log into FTP server. You can use an FTP client or an FTP enabled
web browser to access the EZx.
All EZx passwords are in upper case.
The examples below assume the EZx has the following configuration:
ƒ A supervisor user named “
SUPER
” with a password of “
ABC
”.
ƒ An IP address of
10.0.0.100
.
Internet Explorer or most any internet browser can be used to access the
EZx’s FTP server.
1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. In the address bar enter
ftp://SUPER:ABC@10.0.0.100
and press
ENTER.
3. The client area will list the 4 directories data can be downloaded
from, they are:

Archive
– saved configurations created from the
More Menus ->
Utility -> Save/Restore
screen.
•
Image
– saved image files.
