The incubator power switch controls power to the chamber incubator.
The green indicator light to the right of the switch lights when the
incubator is receiving power.
The dial thermometer mounted on the front of the incubator indicates the
incubator chamber temperature in degrees Centigrade.
When the Variable/35°C switch is set to the 35°C position, incubator
temperature is controlled through a factory-set potentiometer mounted
behind the control panel.
When the switch is set to the Variable position, control is assumed by the
temp control potentiometer. The numbers surrounding the reference temp
control knob indicate the approximate temperature value in degrees
Centigrade. Any value from +4°C above work chamber ambient to +70°C
may be selected.
The heat indicator light cycles with the chamber heaters.
For additional information about the 35°C control potentiometer, refer to
Section 4 of this manual.
The temp safety control thermostat should be set to a temperature slightly
higher than the incubator operating temperature. In the event of an
overtemp condition, the thermostat performs two functions:
1. It interrupts power to the incubator heaters.
2. It activates the audible alarm and the overtemp indicator light.
The overtemp safety control is not directly calibrated. The numbers (0 to
10) around the control knob are for reference only.
The source of any overtemp condition must be determined and corrected
before normal operation can be resumed under the main temperature
control.
Refer to Section 1 for instructions on setting the overtemp safety
thermostat.
