The negative pressure switch automatically shuts down the vacuum
function before too high a vacuum in the glove chamber is reached. The
switch is primarily used during the start-up procedure, but it also protects
the vinyl front from being stretched due to excessive vacuum.
The gas system switch controls the automatic injection of anaerobic gas to
the chamber. The gas is injected as needed when the switch is On. The
automatic gas system is disabled when the switch is Off.
The green indicator light to the right side of the switch indicates when the
switch is On.
Note
The gas system switch may also be used to abort the automatic
transfer cycle during any function by pushing the switch to the Off (left)
position. Following this procedure, the transfer program returns to the
beginning, so that when the Start button is pushed, the cycle starts at the
beginning.
s
The light switch controls power to the chamber light fixtures. The green
indicator light to the right side of the switch lights when the switch is ON.
The foot switch activates the electrical outlet on the far left of the chamber
electrical strip.
An electrical outlet for the vacuum pump is mounted on the back
plumbing panel of the cabinet. If a portable pump is used, it should be
plugged into this outlet. The outlet automatically energizes the pump
during vacuum phases.
The catalyst switch controls the power to the catalyst and desiccant air
circulation fan. The fan increases the efficiency of the catalyst and
desiccant wafers by moving air across them. The green indicator to the
right side of the switch lights when the fan is operating.
