MAINTENANCE AND CARE – Engine Compartment Lamp

ENGINE COMPARTMENT LAMP (IF Equipped)

Some vehicles come equipped from the factory with an engine compartment

lamp for illumination. To switch the engine compartment lamp “ON” or “OFF”,

use the push-pull switch, 1.

Vehicles that are not factory-equipped with an engine compartment lamp have a

provision to install the lamp if desired. See your Tata Motors Limited authorised

service outlet.

NOTE

Always remember to switch the engine compartment lamp “OFF”

when finished. Leaving the engine compartment lamp illuminated will

drain the battery voltage.

FUEL CAP

The fuel cap is located on the left rear quarter of the car. The cap is accessed by

pulling the fuel door release lever located between the driver’s door and seat. To

remove the cap, rotate the cap anticlockwise. When finished fueling the vehicle,

replace the cap and rotate clockwise until hearing two or three ‘clicks’.

WARNING

Fuel vapors are extremely hazardous. Switch the engine off

during refueling and never fuel near sparks or open flames.

Use DIESEL FUEL only! Using any other type of fuel other than

recommended will cause serious damage to the engine and

emissions controls.

Do not use any other fuel cap than what is recommended for your

vehicle. Diesel engine-equipped vehicles use a vented type cap

that cannot be interchanged with a fuel cap from a petrol vehicle.

Using another type of cap will cause the vehicle to malfunction.
