IGN - When the ignition switch is in the “IGN” (ignition)
position, power is supplied to the following components:
Vehicle Systems/Controls
Accessory Supply
Reverse Lights
Engine Electrical Controls
Fuel System and Glow Plug Timer
Windshield Wipers and Washer
Turn Indicators
Instrument Cluster
Seat Belt Audio Warning
Head Lamps and Leveling Switch
HVAC, Blower, and Defogger
12 VDC Power Outlet
Power Windows
Power Side Mirrors
Digital Clock Display
Horns
Engine Cooling Fan
START - When the ignition switch is moved to the momentary
“START” position, the engine starter is operated to crank the
engine. Release the key once the engine has started and the
switch will automatically return to the “IGN” position. If the
engine does not start after five (5) seconds, release the key to
prevent damage to the starter. Wait thirty (30) seconds before
attempting to start the vehicle again.

CAUTION
Do not operate the engine starter for longer than five (5)
seconds or damage to the starter may occur.
Do not move the ignition switch to the “START” position
while the engine is running or damage to the starter or
ring gear may occur.

The components and systems listed below are connected to the vehicle
power supply at all times, regardless of the ignition switch position:
Hazard Warning System
Stop and Parking/Position Lamps
Registration Plate Lamps
Interior Roof and Reading Lamps
Instrument Cluster, HVAC Control, and Switch Lamps
Audio Warning Unit
Analog Clock/Digital Clock Memory (as equipped)
Engine Compartment Lamp (as equipped)
Central Door Locking (as equipped)
Audio/Video System (optional, as equipped)
As a convenience feature and a reminder, the audio system and digital
clock display (as equipped) will continue to operate until the key is
removed from the ignition switch.
