WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADES

Periodic windshield wiper blade maintenance is essential to ensure good visibility

when driving in wet conditions. Replace wiper blades that skip, streak, or are

deteriorated.

The wiping portion of the wiper blade must be perpendicular (90˚) to the

windshield. If the wiper blade is not perpendicular, use a forked tool or soft-jaw

pliers to gently twist the wiper arm so the blade is perpendicular to the window.

CAUTION

Operating the wiper motor with deteriorated or no wiper blades will

scratch the windshield. Don not operate the wiper on dry windshield.

WINDSHIELD WASHER RESERVOIR

The filler neck for the windshield washer reservoir bottle is located on the right

side of the engine compartment, in front of the engine coolant reservoir. This

bottle is for commercially available windshield washer fluid or water only.

Mixing the water with any type of detergent or using non-approved washer fluid

may damage the vehicle finish and/or the washer system.
