Check Engine Indicator (Red) -
Illuminates when ignition
switch is placed in the “IGN” position and will go out after
the engine is started. If the indicator remains illuminated or
illuminates while driving, a malfunction exists with the engine
or Engine Management System (EMS). Have the malfunction
repaired at an authorised Tata Motors service provider as soon as
possible.
Low Oil Pressure Indicator (Red) -
Illuminates when the
ignition switch is placed in the “IGN” position. When the
engine is started, the indicator will go out when the engine builds
sufficient oil pressure. If this indicator remains illuminated or
illuminates while driving, the engine oil level may be low or a
problem may exist with the lubrication system.
Glow Plug Indicator (Amber) -
Illuminates steadily when
the ignition switch is moved from the “OFF” position to the
“IGN” position to indicate the diesel engine glow plug system
is operating. When the indicator goes out, the engine may be
started. The length of time this indicator remains illuminated
varies with engine block temperature.
If the glow plug indicator flashes, the temperature sensor
connection to the glow plug regulator is open or the sensor is
faulty. The vehicle may be started and driven, but the glow plug
system must be repaired as engine starting is affected.
Fasten Safety Belt (Red) -
Illuminates for approximately six (6)
seconds when the ignition switch is placed in the “IGN” position
to remind the vehicle occupants to fasten their safety belts. An
audio warning reminder (beeper) will also sound (as equipped).
Door Open Indicator (Red) -
Illuminates when one of the
vehicle doors is open or not securely latched (as equipped).
Parking Brake/Braking System Indicator (Red) -
Illuminates
when the vehicle parking brake is engaged or the fluid level in
the brake fluid reservoir is low. Automatically illuminates when
ignition switch is initially placed in the “RUN” position. Will go
out after the engine is started.
If this indicator illuminates with a low intensity, a stop lamp bulb
may be burnt out.
Charging System Indicator (Red) -
Illuminates when the
ignition switch is placed in the “IGN” position. This light will go
out after the engine has been started. If the indicator illuminates
while driving, a malfunction of the battery charging system may
exist. Switch off all unnecessary electrical accessories and have
the malfunction repaired immediately.
DICOR Fuel Sedimenter Indicator (Amber) -
Illuminates
if water is detected in the fuel sedimenter. Indicates vehicle
is running in “Limp Home Mode”. See “Section 5 - Vehicle
Maintenance and Care” for additional information.

WARNING
