Setting Up Wise Package Studio

Setting Database Security

To provide an additional level of security, your database administrator can set
permissions on tables in the Workbench and Software Manager databases. This is not
required, but is an option if you are concerned about unauthorized users changing
database tables outside Wise Package Studio.

Note
The following recommendations assume that you are a database administrator familiar
with creating and maintaining a SQL Server database. We do not offer technical support
for SQL Server or SQL Server Express.

Recommended database permissions

The administrator should have read/write permission for all tables.

Warning
Setting permissions that are more strict than the following recommendations can result
in database errors.
