3B-21 Differential:
Drive Relay
1) Remove the seat. Refer to “Front Side Exterior
Parts Removal and Installation: in Section 9D” .
2) Remove the drive relay (1).
3) Check the continuity between “A” and “D”, between
“D” and “F” terminals with the multi-circuit tester.
Check the insulation between “A” and “E”, between
“E” and “F”. Apply 12 V to the terminals “C” and “E”
((+) to “E” and (–) to “C”), check the insulation
between “D” and “F”.
Special tool
: 09900–25008 (Multi-circuit tester set)
4) Apply 12 V to the terminal “B” and “E” ((+) to “E” and
(–) to “B”), check the insulation between “A” and “D”.
If any abnormality is found, replace the 4WD/diff-lock
relay with a new one.

Diff-lock Relay
1) Remove the left side cover and engine side cover.
Refer to “Front Side Exterior Parts Removal and
Installation: in Section 9D” and “Rear Side
Exterior Parts Removal and Installation: in
Section 9D”
.
2) Remove the diff-lock relay (1).
3) Check the insulation between “A” and “B” terminals
with the multi-circuit tester. Then Apply 12 V to the
terminal “C” and “D” ((+) to “C” and (–) to “D”), check
the continuity between “A” and “B”. If there is no
continuity, replace the diff-lock relay with a new one.
