1A-51 Engine General Information and Diagnosis:
1 9) Measure the output voltage between the Dg wire and
ground.

(A): 09900–25008 (Multi-circuit tester set)
(B): 09900–25009 (Needle pointed probe set)

Are the continuity and voltage OK?
Go to Step 2. • Dg wire shorted to
the ground.
• If wire is OK, go to
Step 2.
2 1) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2) Disconnect the IAT sensor coupler.
3) Measure the IAT sensor resistance.

Is the resistance OK?
• Dg or B/Br wire open
or shorted to the
ground, or poor “28”
or “24” connection.
• If wire and
connection are OK,
intermittent trouble or
faulty ECM.
• Recheck each
terminal and wire
harness for open
circuit and poor
connection.
• Replace the ECM
with a known good
one, and inspect it
again. Refer to
“ECM
Removal and
Installation: in
Section 1C”
.
Replace the IAT sensor
(throttle body) with a
new one. Refer to
“Throttle Body
Disassembly and
Assembly: in Section
1D”
