Snapshots
A snapshot means making a copy of all the current settings
governing the DME processing, and saving it in memory for later
recall.
This section describes snapshot operations for the internal DME.
Overview
Snapshots and registers
The registers for snapshots have the same configuration as the
registers for keyframe effects. In other words, there are 99
registers for each of the three channels (channels 1 and 2 and the
global channel).
Note
A battery backup is provided for the contents of the registers,
which are therefore preserved even when the unit is powered off.
However, after a certain time interval has elapsed (about one
week), the battery will be exhausted and the data lost. You are
always recommended to save required snapshots to floppy disk.
For details of saving snapshots to floppy disk, see the section
“Floppy Disk Operations – 77” (page 8-15).
Keyframes and snapshots
Saving and recalling snapshots uses the same working keyframe
buffer as keyframes. As a result, you can use a recalled snapshot
for keyframe editing.
Note
It is not possible to recall a snapshot during execution of a
keyframe effect. It is also not possible to execute a keyframe
effect while recalling a snapshot.
