Operations
Inserting external video into the background – F5 (EXT VIDEO)
Set F5 (EXT VIDEO) to ON.
This inserts the video signal input to the EXTERNAL VIDEO
connector on the rear of the processor into the background.
Selecting a super-black background – F6 (SUPER BLACK)
Use the following procedure.
1
Press F6 (SUPER BLACK), turning it on.
2
Use the left knob (“Levl”) to adjust the super-black level.
(0 to –40%)
Making the background black with the clean key function – F7
(CLEAN KEY)
When using the clean key function on a DME image in the
switcher, press F7 (CLEAN KEY), turning it on.
This makes the background black.
Note
When F1 (BKGD) is off, the DME output video image extends
slightly outside the key signal and it has sharp edges, to allow for
edge softening when F1 (BKGD) is on or when keying on the
switcher with the DME image.
Clean key mode is provided to make it possible to make the edges
of a DME image soft without turning F1 (BKGD) on, and allow
keying of the DME image on the switcher.
