8.3.6.

Operation > TURN ECO MODE ON/OFF

ECO Mode is an alternative mode of UPS operation.

This section explains how to: 1) enable ECO mode, and 2) transfer the UPS to
ECO mode.

In ECO Mode, the UPS's normal state is bypass mode. The mains power bypasses the UPS's
rectifier and Inverter to feed the load directly.

When the UPS in ECO Mode detects an irregularity in the bypass input, the UPS transfers the load
to the rectifier and the Inverter and feeds the load conditioned power as in a "normal" UPS.

The advantage of operating a UPS in ECO Mode is that, in effect, the UPS operates as a stand-by
UPS, not making use of the rectifier and the Inverter most of the time, aside from possibly
