Figure 79: LVD Battery Protector

Use the LVD screen to enable or disable the LVD function. When enabled, the battery disconnect
takes place after the time interval (in hours) specified in the LVD screen.

Any one of the eight output dry contacts can be used to signal that the LVD countdown is in
progress.

For the wiring set-up for the LVD function, see the UPS Installation Guide under the
heading “Wiring for the LVD function”.

This must work in conjunction with the trip coil to the external battery switch if the
trip coil is 48V dc rated the power supply may be provided by the UPS otherwise
will require an external power source.
