Format words are unsigned integers that contain up to three values (described below). The

number of values used in the format words depends on the Parameter Index Location (4.11.)

(Page 270), that is used.
Parameter Index Location (4.11.) (Page 270), determines which of two methods is used to

access the format words: Global Index Method or Parameter-specific Index Method.
