Temperature Sensors
The SST-W100 supports connecting to two remote temperature sensors (SST-TEMP1 and/or SST-OTEMP1).
These sensors are wired to the SST-W100 using #24 AWG Cat 5e/6/7 cable. The table below displays the
configurations supported through software.

When RS2 is connected, the sensor internal to the SST-
W100 and the sensor connected to RS2 are both enabled.
The temperature displayed is the average between the
two sensors.

When RS1 is connected, this disables the internal sensor.
When RS1 and RS2 are connected and RS2 is configured
as an indoor sensor, the temperature displayed is the
average between RS1 and RS2.

The indoor temperature is retrieved from the internal
sensor and displayed as the main temperature. The
outdoor temperature is retrieved from RS2 and displayed
as
Outside <temp>
just above the main temperature.

When RS1 is connected, this disables the internal sensor.
The temperature from RS1 is displayed as the main
temperature. The outdoor temperature is retrieved from
RS2 and displayed as
Outside <temp>
which is located
just above the main temperature.
Sensor Descriptions
Internal Sensor
- The thermostat has an internal temperature sensor mounted on the PCB.
RS1 (Remote Sensor 1)
- This sensor is hardwired to the terminal block on the back panel of the SST-W100
and is typically mounted in a location away from the thermostat. The RS1 connection is for indoor (SST-
TEMP1) use only. When RS1 is plugged in, the internal sensor is disabled. RS1 cannot be configured for
outdoor use.
RS2 (Remote Sensor 2)
- This sensor is hardwired to the terminal block on the back panel of the SST-W100
and can be used as either an indoor (SST-TEMP1) or outdoor (SST-OTEMP1) sensor.
