Auxiliary Relays

The Auxiliary relays (A1 and A2) can be used to control equipment such as opening and closing vent dampers
or switching on or o

ﬀ

a humidifier or dehumidifier. Use the diagram below to wire the SST-W100 to auxiliary

equipment.

To configure the auxiliary relays, follow the steps below.

Press the

MENU

button to open the

Menu Selection

screen.

2. Open the

Installer Settings

menu by pressing the two middle buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.

Refer to the

Humidity Monitoring Icon

section for instructions.

3. From the

Installer Settings

screen, scroll down and

Select

the

Relay Setup

option.

4. Using the

+/-

buttons, set the A1 and/or A2 relay. Refer to table below.

- Instructs the auxiliary relay to control an external humidifier. For the auxiliary relay to

activate, the

HVAC

mode must be set to either

Heat

Auto

and the last call needed to be for heat.

- Instructs the auxiliary relay to control an external dehumidifier. For the auxiliary relay to

activate, the

HVAC mode

must be set to either

and the last call needed to be for cool.

- Instructs the auxiliary relay to be controlled by the Savant Control system and the relays

activate depending on certain triggers and workflows set in the Savant software.

- Instructs the auxiliary relay to control an external vent damper. The output is active when the

fan state is on and the

is active.

DH-Fan

- The Relay is assigned as an external dehumidification fan speed control output (DH) for use

with air handlers having an external DH fan control input to slow fan speed during dehumidification.
Relay is inactive during normal operation when humidity level is below the

RH Setpoint

RH Setpoint

- Locks the state of the fan to the state of the auxiliary relay when relay is in the
