Sending text messages in case of error

If a dial-up modem is connected to RS-232/modem communications module (->

sec- tion 8.1), the controller can send a text message to a mobile phone when an

error oc- curs.

As soon as a fault has been registered in the error status register, the text message

indi- cating a controller fault is sent. On the mobile phone, the following error

message is displayed:

The time stamp [Date], [Time] is added by the text messaging center, not by the

control- ler. If an error message is transmitted to the controller equipped with a

dial-up modem, the controller ID of the faulty controller is sent, instead of the

controller ID of the “mo- dem controller”. A detailed error message is not

[Phone no. of the controller]
