Step-by-Step GalaxyDICOM Hardware Configuration
2.
Setting up the BIOS:
a.
Insert the SATADOM drive into one of the SATA port on the motherboard of the
GalaxyDICOM and push the power button.
b.
During the beginning of the boot process push the F2 key. The system will enter
the BIOS, select the Advanced section, then SATA Configuration, press the enter
key and change the setting to “Enable All”.
c.
Select the Boot section, then Hard drive Order, hit enter key, using the +/- key
move the SataDOM to the top position, the RocketRAID to the second position,
press the enter key.
d.
Now select Boot Priority and move the SATADOM to the top of the list, select
the enter key and go to the Exit section and exit saving changes. The system will
reboot.
3.
Configuring the RAID controller:
a.
During the boot the RAID controller screen will appear use CRTL-H to enter the
RAID controller utility.
b.
In the menu select Create use the up and down arrows to select RAID 1 from the
list of configurations.
c.
Now use the arrows to scroll down and highlight Select and press enter.
d.
In the new window press enter to select the hard drives.
e.
Use the arrows to scroll down and highlight Create and press enter.
f.
The RAID configuration is now complete. To exit the RAID utility press the ESC
key, saving the changes.
If the drives have already been configured, this configuration will have to be deleted
before the new configuration can be created.
Step-by-Step GalaxyDICOM Installation from SATADOM
Ensure the BIOS has been configured to boot from SATADOM.
During the SATADOM boot process the screen may go black, please be patient the system is
booting.
Once the system has been booted from the SATADOM, login into the system with the user
”
root
” and the password “
Galaxy
” and follow the steps below.
At this time the status of the GalaxyDICOM system should be as follows:
•
Archive Manager not licensed, Server status not started
•
Media in JBSD and Integral Volume set not valid
•
RAID Partitions not created and file systems are not mounted
•
PostgreSQL is not running
•
GalaxyDICOM servers not running
