Phase Three - Preparing the DICOM Appliance for Use
Now that phase one and two are complete it is time to prepare the GalaxyDICOM Appliance
for use.
Note: By setting up this product you are accepting all terms & conditions of the QStar
License Agreement.
Note: During phase two, an Integral Volume set named “pacs_nearline” was created; it
will now be used as the DICOM Appliance near line storage.
Activating a Permanent License
If you are evaluating the GalaxyDICOM Appliance system, or if yours is a newly purchased
unit, you can activate a fully-functional temporary license and later convert it to a
permanent license.
DICOM Appliance Components
The DICOM Appliance has several integrated components providing a complete integrated
PACS server solution.
Installation
The DICOM Appliance comes pre-installed. Updates to the DICOM Appliance can be done
using the DICOM Appliance’s Administrative console.
Update Installation
The DICOM Appliance upgrades are available as a download or as a USB flash drive. Once
the updates are received, updates can be loaded into the appliance through “System
administration / Software Upgrade” Administrative console. Please contact a Service
Representative for detailed instructions.
