Understanding the Indicators

The system, without hardware faults, will show a large power light on the power switch
located on the front panel. There will also be two smaller green lights on each hard disk
drive.

Should either hard disk light change to red, then a fault has occurred with one of the drives.
A service call should immediately be placed for further investigation. The system can
continue to work with only one active drive, however, should the second drive fail, the
system will cease to operate.

A notification of this fault will also be emailed to the Administrator (if notification has been
set up – which is strongly recommended).
