GHDX2-ADA DICOM Storage and Archive Appliance Admin Guide
72
Because this procedure requires the use of command line and there is a possibility that
there will be a loss of network connectivity a Monitor and USB keyboard will need to be
attached to the GalaxyDICOM Appliance.
In the event of a multiple hard drive failure follow the procedures below.
Step 1 Verifying a Multiple Hard Drive Failure
The indicators are the Red warning symbols in the menu and multiple PHP errors in the Web
Interface.
To get a detailed view of the
current RAID status select RAID
from the Monitoring section.
In the example the hard drives
were removed manually to
cause a failure.
The Monitoring and RAID menu
items now show a RED warning
sign to alert the user there is a
catastrophic failure.
Selecting the RAID page
displays that the RAID Units are
now in an Inoperable Mode (if
the drive had failed the light
would be red).
To see the status of the
individual drives move the
mouse over a drive, the status
will be updated in the Drive Info
section of the window.
The failed drives will display
that both drives are
unconfigured and NOT
PRESENT.
Select Shutdown from the menu
and Halt the GalaxyDICOM
Appliance. If this fails press
and hold the power switch until
it shuts off.
