NimbleGen MS 200 Microarray Scanner Operator’s Manual v1.0

For 5

m and above scans, you can use the PMT gain in conjunction

with the histogram to balance or match up the channels during the
run. With each adjustment to the PMT gain, the instrument software
resets the histogram to reflect the changes in pixel intensity.

Histogram mode is not available for 2

m scans during the run but is

available post run.

The following figure shows a histogram generated during a scanner
experiment in which the channels are unbalanced. The

Gain 1

and

Gain 2

spin boxes enable you to adjust the gain during the scan.
