Then connect the Rotor-Gene Q MDx to the power supply. Connect one end of the AC power
cord to the socket located at the rear of the Rotor-Gene Q MDx and the other end to the AC
power outlet.

Note

: Only connect the Rotor-Gene Q MDx to the computer with the USB and serial cables delivered

with the instrument. Do not use other cables.

4.1.3

Software installation

1.

To install the Rotor-Gene Q software, download the software from

QIAGEN.com

and transfer

to the computer on a virus free removable media or insert the Removable Media (software)
delivered with the instrument into the computer.

2.

If the software installation auto starts, select

Install Operating Software

in the window that

appears, or navigate to the RGQ software folder on the removable media.

Note

: Please refer to the

Rotor-Gene Q Installation Guide

provided with the instrument for

easy installation and to guide you through the next steps of software installation.
