Frame - chassis
The frame chassis is steerable. The swivelling headstock
transfers the steering movement to the frame chassis
using a steering rod.
In the optimum basic setting, the frame chassis is trailed flush
to the tractor when driving straight ahead. (See illustration)
TIP
Before starting a transport run, the running gear must be
visually checked for aligned casters.
The steering rod length can be re-adjusted if the implement
does not trail flush.
The adjustment unit is located on the headstock.
1. Remove cotter under the track rod end
2. Loosen nut
3. Adjust length of steering rod
4. Tighten nut
5. Fit cotter again.
A Track rod head must be screwed in.
B Track rod head must be screwed out.
