Configuring SNMP Traps
An SNMP trap can be automatically sent out through the EOC, the Management
port, or the Inband Management Channel (if enabled) to the SNMP manager when
the line card detects conditions set by the user. These traps enable the SNMP
manager to gauge the state of the network. Refer to
Appendix B,

for details of SNMP traps supported by the card.
To configure the card for SNMP traps, use the SNMP Traps Options screen to:
Enable SNMP traps.
Select the type of SNMP traps to be sent from the card.
To configure SNMP Traps, follow this menu selection sequence:
