Ending an Active Test
Except for the Remote Send Line Loopback, a test initiated by the user can be
ended by the user with the following methods:
Test Timeout option – Enable the Test Timeout system option so the device
can automatically terminate tests, and set the Test Duration (min) option to
specify the amount of time that tests can run before the device terminates the
test. The default is 10 minutes. Refer to
Table A-6, System Options, in
Appendix A,
Configuration Options
.
Command column – Under the Command column on any test screen,
position the cursor at Stop next to the active test and press Enter to stop a
specific test.
Abort All Tests menu selection – Select Abort All Tests from the Test menu
to stop all tests running on all interfaces.
Command Complete
appears
when all tests on all interfaces have been terminated. Network-initiated
loopbacks cannot be stopped with the Abort All Tests menu selection.
An aborted test may continue to run for a few seconds as the Stop command is
sent to the remote end and processed.
