3. Identify the connectur numbers.
The unique connector number is located above each connector. For example, the
lower-left connector number is LC08. The upper-right connector number is LC80.
The connector number is decoded as LC
slotposition . Where:

LC – Line card

slot is the line card slot, 0 through 8 (bottom to top)
■
position is the connector position, 0 through 8 (right to left)
4. Find the origin of the coordinate system.
The origin of this coordinate system is the lower right corner, at LC00. In the
illustration, the connector identified is LC46.
5. Inspect the pins on the front side of the midplane.
