AM Menu
The AM menu contains
Processing
and
Meter
Options
submenus:
While Omnia.7 offers completely independent processing cores for AM, HD, and the low-latency Studio feed,
the majority of the controls are the same for each. There will be some differences for settings that are peculiar to a
particular medium; for instance, HD uses look-ahead limiters instead of a clipper for final peak control). But once
you have familiarized yourself with the AM section, you will have also learned 99% of the HD and studio sections as
well.
Adjustment Modes
Omnia.7 offers three levels of control -
Basic, Intermediate, and Expert.
♦
By default, each preset loads in
Basic
mode. This mode drastically reduces the number of visible menu
items and individual controls and presents a much simpler and easy-to-use interface. Adjustments to
general processing characteristics (such as Multiband Speed, Deep Bass, and Clipper Drive, for instance)
can be made with a single control though multiple adjustments are actually being made simultaneously in
the background.
♦
This Basic mode is ideal for anyone who does not care to dig deeply into the hundreds of controls exposed
in the Expert mode, but it is also useful even for processing experts who just want the convenience of
quickly tweaking a preset without having to manually make multiple adjustments.
