SYSTEM MENU
Source Adjustment Menu
The
Source Adjustment
menu contains the controls to set the input gain and L/R channel balance, invert polarity,
and swap the left and right channels of the input audio. Independent silence thresholds are also provided for each
input.
♦
The
Input Gain
control allows you to adjust a variable gain stage after the clip detector and can be used to
boost levels to meet Omnia.7’s reference input level as indicated by a green color on the input meters over
a range of 18dB.
♦
The
Balance
slider provides a means by which to dial in a fixed left-to-right channel gain offset. This
can be useful if something ahead of Omnia.7 (board, DA, STL) introduces a L/R gain shift that cannot
otherwise be corrected. Positive values indicate increased gain in the right channel. Negative numbers
indicate more gain in the left channel.
♦
The
Invert
control allows you to swap the polarity of only the left channel input, only the right channel
input, or both the left and right channels simultaneously.
♦
The
Mode
control offers five combinations to determine how the input audio is fed into Omnia.7 in terms
of left and right channels.
¸
L/R
sends left channel input audio to the left channel and right channel input audio to the right
channel (default setting).
¸
R/L
sends left channel input audio to the right channel and right channel input audio to the left
channel.
¸
L+R
sends both right- and left-channel input audio to both the left and right channels.
¸
L
sends only left-channel input audio to both the left and right channels.
¸
R
sends only right-channel input audio to both the left and right channels.
