5.3 Oki LPR Utility for Windows 95/98
5.3.1
What is Oki LPR Utility?
Oki LPR Utility (LPR utility, hereafter) is a utility for printing to OKIPAGE
12i printer connected to Ethernet, from Windows 95/98, using the lpr func-
tion of the TCP/IP Protocol.
5.3.2 Operating environment of the utility
The utility runs on a personal computer to which the network adapter that
supports TCP/IP has been installed.
5.3.3
Setting the printer
Set “NETWORK” to “ENABLE” in the printer’s level 1 menu.
Set “TCP/IP to “ENABLE” in the printer’s level 2 menu and set the IP
address.
For how to set these, refer to Section 4.2.2, “Setting TCP/IP” of this Us-
er’s Guide.
Caution:
If you make a mistake in setting IP address, a fatal error will occur on the
network. Please consult the network administrator and determine the
address to be assigned.
