4.2.2.3 Setting SUBNET MASK

Following the procedure of the sub-section 4.2.2.2, “Setting IP
Address”, press “MENU1” button, to display “SM BYTE1”.

Change the address by pressing “

” button or “

” button. (If you
hold the button for a several seconds, it will expedite the address
updating.) When the value to be set is displayed, press the Enter
key to finalize it.

Press “MENU1” button to move to “SM BYTE2” setting. Set up to
and including “SM BYTE4”, in the similar manner to the “SM
BYTE1”.
4.2.2.4 Setting GATEWAY Address

Following the procedure of the sub-section 4.2.2.3, “Setting
IPSUBNET MASK”, press “MENU1” button, to display “GW
BYTE1”.

After setting “GW BYTE4”, press “ON-LINE” button. It will enable
data to be received in TCP/IP. To set NetWare ENABISABLE
right after this, press “MENU1” button after “GW BYTE4” is set.
4.2.2.5 Confirming the setting

Print the menu after completing the setting of each address, to
verify that the setting has been made correctly. Press “ON-LINE”
button to set the printer to OFF-LINE, and hold the “
Menu
”
button for 2 seconds or longer. When “MENU HP PCL6*” is dis-
played, press ‘ENTER” button.

If the set values printed in the menu print are not correct, set the
values again.
