You must make sure that these are not connected to other network(s). If
you try the following setting when these are connected to other network,
a fatal error will occur on the network:

Setting Windows 95/98
Here, you will set “TCP/IP” and the printer driver on Windows 95/98.
5.3.4.1 Setting network adapter
Please refer to the manual for each network adapter driver and set it.
5.3.4.2 Setting TCP/IP

Double-click “Network” from “Control Panel” window to open.

Check if configuration elements of “TCP/IP” are in “Current Net-
work Configuration” of the “Set Network” tag. If they are not found,
add them in the following procedure:
• Click “Add...” button in the “Set Network” tag, and open “Add net-
work configuration file(s)”.
• Select “Protocol” in the “Network configuration file to be installed:”,
click “Add...” button and open “Select network protocol” window.
• Select “Microsoft” in the “Makers:”, then “TCP/IP” in the “Network
protocols:”, and click “OK” button.
• Make sure that “TCP/IP has been added to “Current network con-
figuration” of “Set Network” tag.
• Restart the PC after completing the setting of 3 next.:

Select “TCP/IP” from the “Current network configuration:” list, open
“Properties” and set the following items:
• IP Address
• Subnet mask
• Gateway
• DNS
Caution: If you don’t know the value to set, consult the network adminis-
trator.
